CORPUS CHRISTI – Bill White rallied the Democratic faithful Friday, saying he wants to be governor of Texas and not "leader of the national right wing."

In formally accepting his party's nomination, White cast Republican Rick Perry as a career politician guided by ideology and self-interest – and he promised to govern differently.

Democratic nominee for attorney general Barbara Ann Radnofsy said Saturday that Texas should sue Wall Street for misconduct.

She blasted her opponent, incumbent Attorney General Greg Abbott, for not acting in the face of "clear evidence."

Democratic Land Commissioner candidate Hector Uribe blasted Republican leaders for being "apologistes for foreign oil corporations" whose careless will pollute the Gulf of Mexico for decades.

Railroad Commission candidate Jeff Weems spoke more concilliatorily towards oil and gas production, noting that it is one of the largest suppliers of jobs and tax revenues for the state.
